Hi, iv discovered I’m pregnant and on here as I have no one to talk to just yet and wanted to see if anyone has had a baby at a similar age. I’m 44 in September, I have 3 children already, 21, 17 and 9, my eldest is also pregnant and would be due 2 weeks before me, really not the ideal situation but my main concern is my age. Has anyone else had a baby at this age, I feel as I’m too old and worry for the complications it can bring, never in a million years thought I’d be doing it again near 10 years later and still doing it 22 years later, not that it matters but it’s all same dad, been together since teens, we must be crazy 🥴 🙈

Awww what a lovely update. Congratulations to you both.

I too am an older mum.....menopause and teenagers is interesting but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I’m mum to a 14 year old and have been going through the menopause the last few years (I’m 55) it’s bloody hard! He’s a lovely lad but I’ve had a hard menopause and I have really struggled. I’m exhausted as well and teens still need us an awful lot, I think they are as needy as toddlers - just in a different way.

I’m not saying this to put you off but it’s something you do need to consider. I also have a large age gap between mine, older dc are 32 and 28. I adore the little ‘un but I do sometimes think how different my life would have been…..

Thank you, I couldnt imagine him not here now and to watch them both together is amazing, and tbh iv prob been here more for my daughter than I would’ve been during and after her pregnancy, it’s been great not having to work 😄, but I know soon be over and my time will have to be divided even more, but thats life.

I hear you, that was one of my worries, I was near done with school runs and ready to be there for my youngest daughter through her teens without a younger sibling taking my eye off the ball, I know it can be difficult, been there with my eldest daughter who turned 13 the year had my youngest, and I know iv gotta add the menopause in this time aswel when the time comes 🥴😭I’m a very chilled person so hope it doesn’t hit me bad!! but my new baby boy is a dream just like his older brother was, he’s just turned 18 and has never once give me any bother 🤞🏻 this little ones the same
