Ectopic?

Looking for a little advice please..

My friend had an early scan on Monday, at what she thought was 6 weeks.
They could not find the baby unfortunately and said that it's probable ectopic as they could see something small in the tube...

She has been having some pains on the same side.

She went back today for bloods and levels have increased by around 70% in 3 days.
They did not scan again but said maybe the pains are the baby moving into the correct place...

Does anyone have similar experiences?
Do Levels rise in ectopic pregnancies?

She now has to wait a long week for another scan when she will find out more but I thought I'd ask for some advice in the meantime.

Maybe you’re friend isn’t at 6 weeks yet maybe only 4-5!? Could this be possibility ? Tahts the only reason I can think of not seeing anything on the scan as at 6 weeks you should see the sac and yolk sac and feral pole and even heartbeat ..
I saw heartbeat at 5+6 weeks just before 6 weeks ..
or if she thinks it’s ectopic , I would book a private scan ASAP because she could lose her tube if it grows too big …
You want to detect it early really .
My though is that you’re friend is still too early ? Maybe 4 weeks ? Because if she was 6 weeks , they should be able to see it quite clearly in the tubes by now xxx good luck ! I hope for the best for your friend . X

I'd be concerned about the medical qualifications of a doctor that said it was pains associated with a pregnancy moving into the right place - a) when she believes she is 6 weeks pregnant and b) when the last scan showed something in her tube and c) of her hcg levels were over 1500

(I've had 2 ectopics both ruptured and nearly died during both)
