Low albumin?!

Had a number of blood tests now to check liver function as apparently I have ‘low albumin’. I have an appointment with the doctor on Monday to discuss and the midwife next week but just wondered if anyone had any idea what low albumin even is and what it can mean in pregnancy. Thanks x

Hi are you eating well? Do you have morning sickness. In an adult (nursing) context it can indicate poor nutritional intake.

Eating fine. Did have terrible morning sickness but that eased up around 20ish weeks, I’m now 33 weeks.

Probably not that then but yes can be related to liver. Hope you get some answers soon.n
