High platelets

Anyone else have this? I just had a call from the receptionist at my GP surgery saying I needed to redo my bloods in a month as I have raised platelet levels. She couldn't tell me anything else at all so I googled and scared myself!
I had my bloods done in November for a previous pregnancy which I then miscarried and no mention of platelets was made then, so I guess the levels were normal in November.
I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant
Anyone else had high platelets? What was the outcome?

I can't say specifically for pregnancy, but high platelets are really common on a random blood test and generally resolve as there's lots of non-scary reasons (although Google will always tell you the scary ones!).

They'll watch more closely in pregnancy as if platelets are very high you might need something like aspirin.
