Hi everyone, looking for anyone to talk to. I ate some pre packaged melon which I didn't realise had mould on it...and was one day past use by date which I didn't realise. Anyone had food poisoning in pregnancy and been ok? I'm 38 weeks and also got covid to top it all off...I'm just in a bit of a state.

your stomach acid will be strong enough to deal with a bit of mould. Bacterial contamination might be more of a risk but you'll 99%be ok

OP- your baby is ready to be born and fully formed. Worse case- even IF you did get listeria or food poisoning and went into premature labour- the baby is ready to come and not too early! Best of luck x

The worst that can happen from mouldy fruit is a stomach upset, which would be over quickly and wouldn't harm your baby. Stay hydrated... Chances are nothing will happen

Thank you so much, didn't expect responses so quickly. It's so scary when you read what you can get from eating this stuff online. I'm praying.

Fruit doesn’t go off 24 hours past its use by date
You will be fine.
