Hi,
I know this is probably a long shot but im really worried and googling things doesn't seem to be helping.

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and went for an internal scan today because of a scare. Everything came back perfect. Since coming home I've had sharp pains on my lower right tummy area and when I went to the bathroom later in the day my underwear was really wet. I'm worried (probably for nothing) that something might have gone wrong? I've read that it could be discharge or even amniotic fluid. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me please?

Thank you

@Lm1245 I think it's very highly unlikely that it is amniotic fluid as you are so so early on. I had this at 13 weeks and when I contacted early pregnancy they advised even at 13 weeks this was highly unlikely, they told me to wear a panty liner or something like that to see what it was, it's very common to leak urine without even realising so chances are it could be this or just watery discharge as that's also very common x

Probably just some of the gel they used for the scan. Cramping early on can feel very strong as everything is moving. I found it more painful than period pain, as it was unexpected and on and off.

My friend who is also pregnant said to me 'welcome to the world of wet'! It's totally normal and very unlikely to be amniotic fluid. Pains are normal too but if they persist maybe call the epu.

@Lm1245 if it was internal scan then it will defo be the gel they use , don’t worry 😄😄😄😄 even if you wipe it off after scanning , there will still be quite a bit inside and later it will just come out . .xxx
