Hi - hoping some of you could help. After reading a number of articles on the maternity care in England it’s made me incredibly nervous!

I’ve just read another article on Jessops Wing, where I would be giving birth, and they have had their CQC rating drop again.

This is my first baby after two miscarriages and I feel at a complete loss of what to do given these articles. It has been such a struggle to get here and I want to feel like I’m in the safest place for myself and the baby when giving birth.

Has anyone had any recent experience at Jessops Wing?

Has anyone considered any alternative hospitals to go to instead? I’ve even considered getting a doula, but not sure how much extra help and security that would give?

Thanks very much.

hello - sorry to bump this old thread but I am also looking at Sheffield and wondered how your experience there was? Thanks so much

I had my first 10 years ago at Jessops and never went back. Obviously that is a long time ago. Will be having my third at Chesterfield as had a much better experience there x
