Anti-nesting

1 week to go and I couldn't be further from nesting. Can't even be bothered to pack my bag let alone sort out the house 😆😆

Anyone else desperately waiting for a injection of energy to get the bare essentials sorted??

I do have my bag packed but not a single ounce of motivation for nesting! I didn't the first time either! I must just be a slob 🙈

I have 3 children and never once got a ‘nesting’ urge!

Hi

I have found out I am expecting my third child unexpectedly

I am suffering from extreme depression because people keep saying the middle child of three is always left out and now I'm convinced I will ruin my current youngest child's life, I just can't live with the guilt anymore.

Should I terminate?

I think you need to make your own thread in the Pregnancy Choices forum about this. This is on someone else's thread about nesting instinct!

OP, I never got the nesting urge either. Very disappointing! I have it a bit more this time but only because I know I have lots of stuff to get down from the loft and clean and sort before baby is here and I can't put it off forever!

Same - I have less than 2 weeks until being induced and I can't find the motivation at all. I have written a to do list as my memory is beyond shocking. The list is getting longer and I'm not actioning anything from the list 🙈 I think once I finish work tomorrow I'll get a surge of energy to crack on, but until then I'm just going to procrastinate and pretend it doesn't all need doing!

I didn't get any nesting instinct first time around whatsoever. However I had only just started maternity and then baby arrived. This time around I've been off since 33 weeks. Now just over 37 weeks and I haven't stopped batch cooking, organising, cleaning. I do think if you're still working you likely don't have the energy to do all this

Amijustagrump · 05/04/2022 16:40

The only nesting instinct I got was the day my waters went when I obsessively wanted to organise and check out all this clothes!

mrscotton · 05/04/2022 16:43

The only time i nested was the morning my waters broke. I had only finished the hospital bags the day before. I was 39+3 weeks when my waters broke.
