Literally had this an hour ago when I wiped after the toilet, so far nothing since. Only had my scan yesterday and she said all was fine and no signs of blood or anything so why is this happening now ? Slight back pains but had them anyway so nothing new

I would give them a call and say what's happened. Have you had sex recently? That can irritate the cervix.

isthisanythingtoworryover · 04/04/2022 13:08

@SGChome20 no no sex as I'm too worried too. I had bleeding at 8-9 weeks and when I had my scan yesterday was told it's resolved and no sign of blood left. I have rang the midwife and she said the usual just monitor it. I was jigged about a lot yesterday for the scan so she said maybe something has been dislodged but it's red blood which means it's new doesn't it ?

Just so typical as I finally relaxed abit yesterday after scan and told people

I know this might sound stupid but you haven’t shaved today have you?

I did this the other week, wiped and saw fresh blood, starting panicking but then realised I had cut myself whilst shaving 🤦🏻‍♀️

isthisanythingtoworryover · 04/04/2022 13:20

@ChloeHel no nothing like that, it was after I had a wee and wiped. Just had some discharge which is a very slightly orange colour so I'm hoping it was that spot and that's it and not the start of something 🙁

I was wondering if maybe the scan could have irritated something. It's impossible not to worry I completely understand the worries around seeing blood. Hopefully it settles and you don't get anymore. It is only a tiny little bit and looks a bit mucousy as well so hopefully nothing.

SGChome20 · 04/04/2022 13:55

Also I don't think it looks particularly red, granted not brown but I wouldn't say it's red either.

Ineedsupport · 04/04/2022 14:07

So sorry realised I posted this on the wrong thread unsure how to delete

I had a small bleed around 9 weeks, all gone on scan. I had another bigger red bleed at 14 weeks, again all fine on the scan. The doctor said it might have been a burst blood vessel.

MissPolllyPocket · 04/04/2022 14:11

All fine on scan, not gone 🙄

isthisanythingtoworryover · 04/04/2022 14:30

Thank you, hopefully it's nothing then and won't start up again. You think you get to this stage and you're okay 🙄 never ending worry

Both my scans caused frank red bleeding the next couple of days. I had a small haematoma. Everything was fine. Contact your midwife if it gets any worse

isthisanythingtoworryover · 04/04/2022 15:41

Can an abdominal scan cause bleeding though? She did keep banging my tummy with the scanner to get baby to move around so she could measure it properly. Wondering now if it's caused this ?!
She didn't see any blood in my uterus anywhere so thought it had resolved from a few weeks ago.
I've just had brown discharge now, a small amount

Hi,
I had exactly this at 13 weeks the day after my scan. I'm currently cuddling my 2 week old! X

isthisanythingtoworryover · 05/04/2022 06:31

Thank you. I've had some normal discharge this morning the milky/clear stuff so I'm really hoping that was the lot. Telling myself the scanner disrupted a blood vessel or something with all the rough scanning
