Signs of labour being near?

So I’m 37 weeks with my second, with my first the only real signs I had before labour was my bump had dropped a week or so before, had an increased urge to use the loo and I lost my mucus plug in bits over four days before. Woke up feeling cramps that I had put down to needed the loo and then my waters broke when I was 2cm! So overall a really fast paced labour and I don’t recall many symptoms before labour other than feeling off.

This time around, I’ve been losing my mucus plug over the last few days but no bloody show, my bump has dropped significantly, appetite is up a LOT, I’ve had extremely bad insomnia the last few days, horrific lower back pain that doesn’t go away when I move, increased BH, being constipated but needed the loo more often. Today I woke up with a super sore throat and I’m very congested, I haven’t been out anywhere to catch a cold and nobody around me has one either but I read online that it can be a sign of labour approaching so fingers crossed that’s what it is! Anyone else have similar symptoms before their little ones made an appearance?

Also my first came just over a week early, but I don’t know if that holds any relevance at all

Fingers crossed its the start of something. With my 1st the night before I went into labour I was on the toilet all night (TMI sorry..) clearing my bowels. Finally got back to sleep then woke a few hours later with contractions, that was my only symptom. My other (4) i was induced so no signs until the real thing! Hopefully these BH will start turning into the real deal, also; are they deffo BH? My neighbour thought she was having them, but they were contractions and she was pushing a few hours later!

I’m 38 weeks pregnant with my first and for the past 3 weeks, I’ve literally been having to use the loo very frequently every day, I’ve been congested, had a cold, random pains, period-like pains, feeling exhausted, and yet still nothing. No sign of mucus plug or waters breaking. Nothing. It’s getting quite frustrating. I have a C-section booked for a week tomorrow but was diagnosed with pre-term labour at 34 weeks, so I have literally just been waiting around to see if baby turns up early. I’ve literally given up trying to work out if something is a “sign” now - I just don’t know anymore!😂
