Hello ladies!

I've a maximum of two weeks left to go!

I can't quite believe I've reached the end of the pregnancy journey, it's felt tough and long with lingering MS (controlled with medication), horrific heartburn and various aches and exhaustion probably chalked up to being 40 and not 30 like last time was pg. I've been unable to digest any dairy without feeling awful and I can't wait to eat a big bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes and a flat white coffee! Think that may be the first thing I do on my return home.

I've a scan on Tuesday that may mean I'll need inducing next week but if not. My due date it 14th April.

I've yet to pack my bag or have an inclination to nest. I'm still working too so the baby is likely to be born into chaos 😆

I'm thrilled at the thought not being pregnant anymore.

Are there any other ladies out there with a similar due date?

What's the thing you are most looking forward to on thr other side?

Hi there ! My EDD is 21st April , it’s my third baby and a VBAC so I’m having sweeps from next week - first one is on Tuesday . But I’m trying not to get my hopes up for them to work ! I’m absolutely shattered and my bump is really weighing me down. I’m only semi comfortable when I’m lying on my side in bed or sitting in the nursing chair. The sofa kills me as does walking or standing . I’m so fed up now and spend most of the night tossing and turning. Counting down the days now and hoping she comes early ! I’ll probably be induced around 40w if I haven’t gone into labour but will get 2 sweeps a week at 38 and 39 weeks (well hopefully ). Baby isn’t fully engaged yet but apparently that’s normal for 2nd / 3rd babies but I wish she would drop so I might get a little relief.

I feel your pain. I just think that being absolutely fed up at being pregnant serves the purpose of settling the labour nerves.

This is my third pregnancy too, wirh my girls being born 11 and 12 years ago and both being overdue.

This baby is slipping ever so slightly off his growth trajectory so I've a scan on Tuesday and if he's dropped again they are going to want to whip him out before my due date.

I did ask for some sweeps as I've been a little nervous about not being close to labour but they won't before my due date unless otherwise told. Hoping they may give me one after my scan on Tuesday if he's dropped again.

Does it feel surreal to you too that we're going to have a baby in our arms so soon. I've been so poorly rhis pregnancy that I've felt I've had no time to sit and enjoy it this time and instead i've just been getting through it. It's only now I'm starting to realise all this ends with a baby in my arms 😆😆

Hi! I'm due 17th April. First baby for me. Pregnancy hasn't been great to be honest. Severe HG for the first 5-6 months. Have continued being sick but not so often now. It just catches me now and again. Chronic heartburn every night is standard haha. I can't wait for that to stop and just be able to turn in the night with ease 😂 It's my last week in work next week. Tempted to take a day or 2 annual leave though. I'm definitely ready to finish now.

Harlequin1088 · 02/04/2022 21:25

I’m 38+1 with my first baby. I have a planned C-section booked for 11th April but tested positive for pre-term labour at 34 weeks so since then have been on virtual house arrest as I was told baby could come “any minute”. Absolutely sick to death of feeling so uncomfortable and, frankly, if someone handed me a scalpel now I’d probably give the C-section a go myself 😂

I looked in the mirror earlier and couldn’t quite believe how far my back has bent to accommodate the weight of my bump so no wonder it hurts to sit, stand, walk or lie down! The heartburn has been awful but I’ve been keeping that at arms length with some industrial strength antacid liquid the GP prescribed me.

It’s the waiting around that’s killing me lol!

I can relate to a lot of the above! Due with our second on the 18th. So torn between wanting to not be pregnant anymore, meet her and get on with life as a family of four and trying to relish the last few weeks with my son being an only child, and the good things about pregnancy (though there’s not that many at this point, just soppy stuff like feeling her move and liking some of my maternity clothes!) Also my hormones are playing absolute havoc and some days I’m an emotional wreck and others I’m fine - I know that won’t even out for a good while though after she’s born. Most looking forward to being able to bend over to put on shoes/pick stuff up, and recline or lie on my back comfortably in bed - my hips get so sore lying on my side!

Sprat12 · 02/04/2022 22:02

I'm 36 weeks and due for induction at 38 weeks. So very ready for this to be over 😅 I have hated every moment of pregnancy. I'm so sore and uncomfortable, my back is in pieces and I can't remember the last time I had more than 2 hours sleep. It is very surreal to think that in a couple of weeks time we'll have a baby to care for. FTM and I'm a bit overwhelmed by it all. I was initially terrified of labour but honestly I just need him out now, labour cannot be as bad as consistently feeling so utterly rubbish all of the time.

New30 · 02/04/2022 22:07

Due our 2nd on the 12th April but booked in for c section this Tuesday. We have had 5 miscarriages and failed IVF so this pregnancy has been very low key with many friends and family not knowing. Cot and pram here now but strangely it still doesn’t feel real! Pre op tomorrow so maybe it will then! We have no idea of name or even a shortlist! It’s all very surreal

TooMuchCheesecake · 02/04/2022 22:36

Hi! My due date is 14th April but I have a c section booked for Friday. I cannot wait! It's been a rough pregnancy with hyperemesis at the beginning, then covid, then being diagnosed with gestational diabetes, so I'm not going to lie, I really can't wait to not be pregnant anymore. Although it still doesn't feel real that I'll actually be having a baby in less than a weeks time!
This is my 3rd baby but my other 2 were 12 and 9 years ago and I've definitely found pregnancy a lot harder this time round.
Not long now though, exciting!

RedRobin100 · 02/04/2022 22:38

I’ve got just over 3 weeks OP - have set a backstop section date.
I REALLY need to finish work already - feeling burnt out - hopefully done in Tuesday.

We’re nearly there!!

I feel so unprepared, practically and mentally, this time round!

New30 · 03/04/2022 08:40

HG and covid and an older one here too! Hope it goes well for you

WorryMcGee · 03/04/2022 09:10

I’m booked in for a c section in 15 days. I have hated every single second of being pregnant (first baby - and last!) and although I’m petrified of the “having an actual baby” bit as well, I cannot wait to not be pregnant anymore and never have to do this again. The bit I’m most looking forward to? Not being an incubator and the only person responsible for this baby’s welfare. Not being asked “how’s bump”, which brings me out in a rash. And a glass of wine 🙂

babydays123 · 03/04/2022 10:39

Sounds like we've all reached the point where the labour seems preferable to another week of pregnancy! 😆

I've awoken after another night of constant heartburn and toilet trips...good training for broken nights due to feeding.

I've got a huge swathe of podcasts lined up to listen to for the middle of the night and a backlog of audible so I'm looking forward to being able to enjoy the nights rather than fighting off sickness during them.

Good luck with all your planned C-sections coming up. I've been so tempted to request one due to not being able to go over due to being 40 (both my previous pregnancies were over by 10 and 14 days)

Find out more on Tuesday after scan in case he needs whipping out at 39 weeks.

We're all going to have little Easter babies! ♥️

@WorryMcGee I feel like you are my spirit animal. Being asked about ‘the bump’ makes my eyes itch. And if another woman refers to me as ‘mamma’ again, I’m probably going to start throwing things.

WorryMcGee · 03/04/2022 11:24

@Sprat12 omg same 😫😫😫 Do not call me “mama” or “mummy”, I’m not your mother. And what are you actually asking with “how’s bump”?! Are you asking how I am, because my name isn’t “bump”. Would you walk up to someone with a different kind of prominent bodily feature and be like “sooo…how’s nose?” Or are you asking how the unborn baby that no one can see is, which is a stupid question because it’s impossible to answer. The dentist put his hand on my tummy a couple of weeks ago and went “oooh what’s this”. My latest shoplifting haul, what do you think it is?! For the love of god if you didn’t put it there don’t touch it. Everyone leave me aloneeee

AAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH so much RAGE 😂

Sprat12 · 03/04/2022 12:19

Jesus, I’m surprised that dentist didn’t lose an arm. I’ve been quite lucky with the lack of bump touching, but I think that probably has more to do with my stellar resting bitch face, seems to scare people off!

Good luck with your c section tomorrow.

I'm feeling rather jealous at thr thought you'll have seen the bad of pregnancy by this time tomorrow whereas I'll be soldiering through and still have the finale to get through 😆😆
