Red blood after sex

Hi everyone, I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and after having sex with my partner have noticed that I was bleeding. Not heavy and completely painless. Also the blood wasn't mucusy like period blood, it was like actual blood. Wondering if this was anything to cause concern? I bled a bit in the first few weeks but this was different. Wondering if we could've just caught something rather than it being anything more sinister

@newmum2be101 I've had this a few times in pregnancy after sex, 1st pregnancy I actually ended up in hospital as there was ai much blood!! But all was fine

2nd pregnancy and this has happened to me a number if times, especially in thr 1st 14 weeks or so! It always eased of straight after and I would sometimes get brown discharge the next day

I think its because everything is so much more sensitive ans the cervix can become easily irritated

Please so get checked out if you have any concerns though x

I’m also 14 weeks! I get this all the time and did in my last pregnancy. It’s just blood and usually red straight after sex. I was told it was nothing to worry about as long as it stops straight away and it always has. Iv bled about 15 times so far in this pregnancy and I’m still happily pregnant with the worst morning sickness ever and baby is wiggling around so all is well. If you have no pain and it doesn’t continue I would not worry

Thanks both. I did say to my partner I was less concerned because it looked like actual blood if that makes sense and it didn't continue so will just monitor myself and if nothing changes will mention it to the midwife next time I see her
