Hi I might sound really stupid here but , last week i made some radish pickle at home . I left it in the sun for about 10 days and the after it was fermented i had it in the last two days . I now am told that fermented radish pickle is actually dangerous to eat while pregnant and can cause listeria and i am freaking out . Is it a possibility that i will contract it ?

Pickle contained :
White radish , mustard oil , garlic , chilli and some spices

My husband is a chef, he says listeria is soil based so as long as you've washed the radishes you should be fine, garlic and chillis also have antibacterial properties so help too. He says getting vegetables from a supermarket are also much less likely to have listeria, it's more if you buy from a farmers market covered in soil you would have an issue. He's been making me sauerkraut as I love it and it's a good probiotic and he's being super careful with what I eat so I'd think you're fine!
