Before I was pregnant I never slept on my back ever and now that I am, I always wake up on my back and I don't know how long I've been lying like that for. I have really bad anxiety, and I'm so worried I have stopped blood flow to my baby. I read up so much on the internet and feel I know too much now that I worry about absolutely everything. I'm only 15 weeks but is this going to damage my baby? I don't feel pregnant and I don't have a bump, it's concerning me

The advice for not sleeping on back I think even applies at 15 weeks, pop a pillow between your legs, you'll need one as you get bigger and your pelvis hurts anyway, it should stop you rolling. A wrap round pregnancy pillow would be even better.

Congratulations and try and enjoy.

Try not to worry OP - it's generally the third trimester you shouldn't sleep on your back, although it is best to practice before that.

You shouldn't go to sleep on your back but your body will wake you up when you're on your back so just roll back on to your side and you'll be fine.

A pregnancy pillow does help, I had one that went all around me from Asda

@Bubbles1st @Lou98 thank you so much, do u think then I may have hurt my baby as I've been doing this a lot 😞? I have never ever slept on my back I don't know why I'm doing it now, I'm so annoyed at myself for this x

@help74898 not at all! That's what I mean, your body will wake you and if you turn over when you do, you won't have been on your back long enough. Especially only at 15 weeks.

I did it all the time when I was pregnant with my Son! Like you, I was never a back sleeper before I was pregnant but it seemed to be every night until the day I had him I was waking up on my back! I was worried too but that was when the midwives told me about your body waking you and turning over etc and my Son is now a healthy 10 month old!

I'm 25 weeks pregnant with baby 2 and do the same thing and so far baby is perfectly healthy as well

Same happened to me. Only time I ever slept on my back was my 3 pregnancies Wink you know what? I slept!! That's what's important. Unless it is a high risk pregnancy you should be fine. You can always try pillows. Besides 15 weeks you're good! There is no pressure on your vessels or anything (unless you have other health issues)
