I’m currently 32 weeks with second pregnancy. At my 28 week midwife appointment they did the bloods and it came back that I needed them redone at the drs. Had to wait a couple of weeks before I could get them done as I had covid and then the nurse did 🤦♀️ Anyway, finally got them done and got a call back the next day to say they want me to repeat the blood test next Wednesday and the dr will call me on the following Monday to talk through them.
I asked what the results were and the receptionist said it’s just the liver test they are redoing so she assumed all the others (iron, thyroid etc) are ok.
I’ve tried to get hold of my midwife, no joy! Will try again, but while I’m waiting I was wondering if anyone else has had to have repeated blood tests for liver and what that even means?! I was assuming it was iron that would flag up as been tired and high heart rate, didn’t even think about liver! I’m also worried that if it’s something serious that’s another week till I get any clarification!
Any advice or similar stories would be appreciated!
