Hi everyone,

My list of fun pregnancy symptoms continues...

Sorry for TMI, but I"m 26+4 weeks and experiencing pressure in my rectum. I'm not constipated, although I may not be as regular as normal, and there's no pain/issue with my anus, it's further up and it just makes me feel like I need to go (I don't).

Last week I was having period-like pain in my lower belly and back, which has receded a bit now, and horrible aching in one (??) thigh, which keeps coming back!

I'm hoping this is growth/the baby pressing on something but not sure. Has anyone else experienced anything like this pressure? Any tips on how to relieve it?

Hi @deliwoman1 I have just come across your post as I have the same feeling. Hope your feeling better by now. Im only 17 weeks but have constant pressure as if I need to go the toilet but I do take lactulose to help me go and still get the feeling I need to go after plus with a little backache as well. I did have period type pains as well I ended up ringing midwife. She just advised to drink plenty fluids take paracetamol if needed and the pressure could be due to baby growing the uterus moving up from pelvis. As long as there is no blood they just said to try and relax but if pains persist they are more than happy to see me to check babies heartbeat...
