12 weeks syndrome screening

Hi Everyone, I just got my 12 weeks screening results today and I am very concerned. I am currently 34 but will be 35 at my due date.
The risk of having a baby with Down is 1:530.
What is actually mostly worrying me is the high hCG level at 3.79 MoM (PAPP-A level is at 0.99 MoM and NI is at 1.40mm - both normal I think?).
I have booked a private NIPT appointment for later this week, however I am worried about the high hCG levels. Surely, I will discuss with the midwife but I was hoping to hear thoughts and opinions from people with similar issues and how their pregnancy is/was going? Or everyone really who has some information on this.
What could be a potential trigger for such high levels?

Thanks in advance for your comments xxx

Hi,
how did this all go for you? I am currently pregnant 15 weeks but had my bloods taken 2nd August and I was 12 weeks 6 days.
i am showing high risk of Down syndrome 1 in 73.

hCGb - MoM 3.75
PAPP-A - MoM 0.66
NT - MoM 1.47

i have had the NIPT done today but anxious waiting until next week for the results.

thank you

Hi @Advice125 !

My NIPT came back all normal.
I am still pregnant and hope that the results are true!

I know someone who had 1:72 and it was all OK, but if the result is 1 < 150, you should be given and option to do amniocentesis, not? Or was it your decision to avoid it?

Ah, and I’ve also heard about a woman who had 1:3 and was all fine.

All will be good, don’t worry!

I’m glad to hear! Congratulations.
i was only offered the NIPT and we see what comes back next week from that if it comes back high risk then they will send me for an amniocentesis.

hoping for my results to come back low risk!
