Anti D Injection - Advice

This is a weird one! Just finished the food shop and as I was leaving the supermarket my trolley brakes went on sharply and naturally my bump smacked onto the handle! It was surprisingly very sore and this has never happened leaving before...

I have O- blood and up to date with my Anti D injections, however, wondering if I require one for this kind of knock? I am going to call triage once I've finished my toddlers dinner but curious on anyone else's experience with this kind of thing or similar?

Just for context I am 33+2 weeks pregnant and baby is moving away. Thank you for reading!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Just rang triage and they want me to pop in for the injection - there is no harm in getting it and worse if I didn't...

Can pop in once my little one goes to bed which is great. Such a weird thing to happen!! Hmm

You did the right thing by calling. Good luck with it!

Yes, the same thing happened to me. I was about 27 weeks, knocked my bump accidentally when opening the car door. I called triage and was advised to go for the injection just in case, they also checked on baby and all was fine 😊
