I’m 13 weeks and supposed to be feeling better but this morning I felt ok ish I had some breakfast started to feel sick so stopped. It went away; had my pills (iron, folic acid and vitD) 30 mins later I was sick so much but the iron pill had began to dissolve and omfg it was the worst thing ever I have had to throw up it was vile!! Now I feel super drained and Iv ended up having a nap I still feel terrible how awful iv woken up, this is the 3rd day in a row iv been sick where has previously I was having two good days then a bad day. Now they are all bad days! So rant over sorry about that.

My question…. Does the sickness suddenly just stop one day ? Or does is taper off? What week did your sickness stop?
Also anyone else feeling worse the further along they get?

I had it the whole 9 months with DD1, as did my sister with hers. Sorry! With my other ones it came and went for about the first 20 weeks then became more sporadic then stopped all together at around 24 weeks-ish.

Oh that’s so long. Did you realise once you got to 12/13 weeks and it wasn’t getting better that it might never go away? Did it seam to get worse at 12/13 weeks or just stay the same?

Probably not what you want to hear but I was sick the whole way through.

I found taking the vitamins (pregnacare and iron) made it worse so I'd have regular breaks on and off from those.

Nikki037297 · 30/03/2022 14:23

Oh I hope mine eases soon. Yes I’ll take a break from them and go back to having them at bed time just as I’m getting into bed as that didn’t seam to effect me like it did taking them earlier

I cannot take iron on an empty stomach. It is best taken after a meal, if you manage to eat one!

I had it til about 15 weeks. It went away about 12 weeks then came back for another few then went away for good.

I've been nauseous 24-7 since I found out. Not sick every day but severely car sick feeling, constantly. Couldn't eat, barely drink, on anti emetics (2 dif types) one admission to hospital and a couple weeks off work. I'm 14.5 and it's just the last few days started to ease where I'm having periods of time where I can function like a normal human as I don't feel too sick!
I was like this until 18 weeks last time so anticipating the same. Then mine went all together. It varies so much by pregnancy to pregnancy and woman to woman.

Are you on any anti sickness? And def take the tablets with a meal!

Good luck and hope you feel better soon

@Nikki037297 I kept thinking oh it'll probably improve soon.. hopefully.. any day now.. and it didn't! I kept hoping it would but it literally didn't stop, and it was all times of day even during the night. They were totally worth it though Smile

My sister was sick even when she was in labour, some women are just unlucky with it.

I hope yours improves soon!
