Really scared I did something wrong

Hi everyone

I am a henna artist and use henna cones using cajeput essential oil. I did a pregnant lady a few weeks ago, a very small and thin design so there would only be a drop or traces of the essential oil not more. I know henna is widely considered safe for pregnancy though some people wouldn’t use it as their own choice of course. I thought about contacting the person and letting them know but my friend said that it would only be to soothe my own worries. I spoke to someone who knows about essential oils and they said it should be fine, the lady said she was going on maternity leave in August and this was in March. So not sure what trimester she is in. I spoke to a dr (a friend who retired a long time ago and isn’t specialist in this) but he said it should be okay. I don’t want to contact her just for myself because I assume since then she’s had a check up as you do regularly for your first child. I have no experience or understanding of pregnancy and would probably be really anxious if this happened to me (as I am generally a very anxious person) but I wanted some reassurance that it is okay? Obviously now I am going to be super vigilant on anyone I do and have done thorough research into allergies, skin sensitivities, patch testing etc as it is an art that I really love but this mistake is making me think maybe I shouldn’t do it anymore? I don’t want to contact her from a selfish way and worry her unnecessarily if that makes sense? Please help

I researched the essential oil online - basically there is not enough evidence regarding whether it is safe for pregnancy so that’s why it should be avoided

I used essential oils in the bath when I was pregnant. It depends on the oil the only one I know for sure shouldn't be used in pregnancy is Clary sage as it can cause contractions and bring on labour. Which oil was it?

It was cajeput essential oil

I'm sure she will be fine as it must have been a very small amount. I would try not to worry.

I think I won’t mention it to her then?

Don’t mention it- you will only worry her unnecessarily.

I wouldn't mention it.
