Good evening. Found out I was pregnant on the 15th of March. Last Monday I had some brown bleeding that filled a panty liner so made a referral to EPU. They say me Thursday and scaned me, told me pregnancy was in an unknown location or to early to see anything (I was only 5wks 4days) my HCG level come back as 3200. They asked me to go back on the Saturday for more bloods, they come back at 2700 but I had light brown/red bleeding on the Friday filling one pad. I had to go back on the Monday, had started brown/red blood but very lightly on Sunday and is still continuing.. Mondays levels had gone up to 3512. Has anyone else experienced this??

I had an ectopic in Jan last year, then a mmc in nov but they firstly diagnosed the mmc as pregnancy of unknown location. So hgc levels should double every 48 hours however the min they will accept to say it is a viable pregnancy is 35% increase. With my ectopic they went up by 600 in 5 days but they located a 9mm sac in my tube and fluid in my Douglas pocket. I was advised that they should be able to see a sac in the womb once hgc levels are over 1500. With my mmc I saw a sac in the right place but hgc levels rose by 12% in 48 hours so they called it pul, then had another scan to see a fetal pole 5 days later and the hgc levels rise by 32%. 2 weeks later saw a heartbeat but baby was measuring small. Bleeding 2 weeks after that and a scan showed the baby had died not long after the heartbeat scan.

Whilst my outcome wasn’t good, I searched high and low over numerous forums for positive results which there was a lot of.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that your story is more successful than mine.

Hello, unfortunately it was not good news, after a week of monitoring my HCG level went up to 5200 on Thursday and still nothing to be seen on scan. I've just got out of surgery, ectopic in the left tube. They have removed the tube and I'm hopfully on the road to recovery x
