I only had my 12 week scan 2 weeks ago but I feel it's been 2 months since. I don't feel pregnant at all so im constantly worrying that their wee heart has stopped beating and the wait til my 20 week scan feels like a lifetime away. Anyone else get this x

I think pretty much everyone does to varying degrees to be honest. I'm 18 weeks following 3 losses. I booked a private scan at 17 weeks to break up the wait and I also had my midwife apt at 16 weeks and she listened to the heartbeat which helped reassure me (for a few days at least!).

I'm 15 weeks and I have booked a private scan for next week. I thought my anxiety would lesson the further along I got. That is not the case.

@Blackbirdflyintothelight im so sorry about your previous losses. I'm thinking of booking a scan at 17 weeks just to give me peace of mind aswell if I'm honest. Just feels such a long weight x

@Theneverendingcleaningcycle that's exactly what I thought, I thought after I seen them at my 12 week scan and everything was okay that I would chill out a bit, I did for maybe a week and now I don't feel pregnant at all I'm all worried again x

@firsttimemum1xxx I've found the period after 12 weeks more anxious than before even though my losses were before 12 weeks. I think it's because before 12 weeks I was more prepared for something to have gone wrong. I'm now feeling movement and that really helps with the anxiety.

firsttimemum1xxx · 29/03/2022 15:04

@Blackbirdflyintothelight yes I totally get this. Just because you just kinda expect everything to be okay after 12 weeks but obviously only being 14 weeks I have no bump and I don't feel movement, I just feel like how I did before I was pregnant ! Hopefully a private scan will help the anxiety x

I also booked a private scan at 17 weeks to keep me going until the 20 week scan. It really helped.

firsttimemum1xxx · 29/03/2022 15:08

@Cakecakecheese I think that's what I'll do for 17 weeks, just to put my mind at rest a bit x

This is so weird, I was literally about to start a post asking the same question! Definitely experiencing this!

Isonthecase · 29/03/2022 15:11

Yep, heard the heartbeat and can feel kicks but still worried about the 20 week next week! It's a long couple of months. What I would say is I've not had extra scans as last time they didn't help me feel better for long anyway.

firsttimemum1xxx · 29/03/2022 15:24

@RooneyRue lol telepathic ! It's honestly so stressful isn't it, I'm like telling myself everything is okay but in the back of my mind because I don't feel pregnant or anything I'm like there must be something wrong x

firsttimemum1xxx · 29/03/2022 15:25

@Isonthecase that's good your feeling kicks, I keep thinking maybe I'll calm down when I feel movement but it probably won't even make a difference as there will be something new to worry about x

Literally me now.
I am 11+0 and I am not feeling pregnant al all! I don't look pregnant either.
I had 3 scans in 6,7&8 weeks due to bleeding, last bleeding stopped just after last scan.
And I saw each time heartbeat and because of this everyone are telling me to stop being paranoid.
But I had 4 miscarriages before.
You can't switch it off just because everyone said so.

And now I need to wait for my 12weeks scan feeling like a fraud.

I don't believe I will see Albany alive and well....

Cakecakecheese · 29/03/2022 20:01

@arshenick90 I won't tell you it will be ok as obviously I don't know that but just before every scan I've had I've been convinced it was bad news and I was wrong so I hope you are too. I didn't feel very pregnant just before my 12 week scan and the day before my 20 week scan I had hideous cramping that felt like it did when I miscarried but all was fine.
