How long did it take to hear from midwife?

Hello all!

I am currently 5+2 (yay) and have tried reaching out to the midwifery team where I live in Nottinghamshire.
It's a different system to some I've seen in other towns where you leave a message and they call you back.
The last time I was pregnant, the midwife rang me back within a few hours to go through first questions etc. but not this time. I was just wondering if anyone has had it where it has taken a few days for them to call you back due to being busy etc?
I'm not being impatient, I'm fine with it taking a few days but the issue is I have to go back to work tomorrow for 10 days straight and I have ZERO signal at work so my phone won't ring if they call me whilst I'm there!

Thank you so much!

I got a phone call about 3 weeks after I filled in the forms online to say I was pregnant. I work in a hospital with zero signal so I missed the call and she left a message to call her back.

I did an online form and it was a few days

Double check on the trusts website, there might be a form to complete, otherwise just email/ring again just in case they've forgotten.

I rang about 5 weeks and got told I'd be given my 8 week booking in appt soon, had it at 10 weeks, apparently everyone's pregnant right now haha! (Currently 14 weeks)

Congrats and good luck

8 weeks for me, it makes no sense then contacting you at 5 weeks.

Shelly1812 · 29/03/2022 12:55

Took them about 3 weeks to contact me back.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 29/03/2022 12:57

Is there a form online you can fill in?
I think I was emailed with a telephone appointment for when I was 10 weeks.

HopingForRainbow2021 · 29/03/2022 13:01

I self referred online at 6 weeks. 12 weeks tomorrow and still not seen a midwife

Duracellbunnywannabe · 29/03/2022 13:03

Normally they don’t booking appointments until at 10 weeks due to the risk of miscarriage before this.

Any of you that did hear back from your midwife, have you had anything through about your 12 week scan yet?

I did the online form at around 6 weeks, hadn't heard anything 2 weeks later so called up and was told that I was logged on the system but something had gone wrong and no appointment had been made for me so she arranged one for me. It's been over a week since my appointment and I've not had anything through about a scan and my notes app hasn't even been updated with this pregnancy so I don't know if I should still be waiting or if I've slipped through the net again.

I had to fill out an online form when I found out at 4 + 2. That was a Tuesday and I got a call from midwife on the friday to book me for an app at 8 weeks.

Cakecakecheese · 29/03/2022 15:06

I self referred online and got my 12 week scan appointment through a week later but the midwife appointment took about 3 weeks to come through.

Purplerain1144 · 29/03/2022 17:29

Self referred 27th Jan at 7 weeks, had a call 25th Feb and first midwife appt was at almost 15 weeks a couple of weeks ago. They are very behind in my area!
