Bit of a niche thread this one. I suffered from
Vulvodynia from 2011 - 2015. The pain eventually resolved with a combination of womens health physio, chiropractic and a cocktail of difference nerve pain medicines.
I'm 13+3 and concerned a natural birth will flare the condition up. It was a debilitating pain condition that impacted my life physically and emotionally, and the thought of having to go back there and do it again is frightening.
I've spoken to the midwife who advised a ELCS would be possible and that a conversation with the consultant is advised. But, she (like many other medical professionals) didn't have any knowledge of experience with the condition herself.
I'm wondering if anyone out there has also experienced this condition and how it impacted your birth plan .. or rather, how your birth plan impacted vulvodynia?
Thanks so much.
