Yes, got all the 'my god, you're huge' comments at around your stage - I'm now 37 weeks and am just getting looks of pity now. You honestly won't care as time goes on - I posted a thread similar to yours when I was about 30ish weeks because I felt so massive but I actually don't care now....

Sorry you've had a horrible pregnancy, Sheena. The 'you're huge' comments aren't going to help are they? This is my 2nd pregnancy as well and it's not been horrible, but definately worse than the first - emotionally I've been all over the place, so it's worse in that respect. Good luck with your section.

i had that with dd2 from about 20 weeks - but she was a big baby. Probably because they had not seen you for a while - it may have shocked them. Just ignore them.

People are just insensitive. If you've been off for a while it's just that they've noticed that you are bigger than when they last saw you. They don't mean anything by it. I think a lot of people are surprised by how big pregnant women get as well.

I'm 25 weeks and have a little bump and am having a lot of the opposite, you're not very big for 6 months..which worries me sometimes, although I know it's all OK in there....growth scans were fine. Try to ignore them. Just say, "yes, not long to go now" to remind them you are big because you're GOING TO HAVE A BABY.....soon.

Scampynoodle · 07/01/2008 11:21

Ignore these loons! Why do people see fit to comment?

You know, I used to get the hump with this until I realised how clueless people actually are. In the space of ten mins I've had someone tell me I am huge and then someone else tell me I look tiny.

Get some retorts ready so that you can hit back at their comments. Ask them about their arse-spread or wrinkles. Alternatively, if I am trying to be polite I respond to by saying that it's funny that they should think I am so big because my midwife thinks I and my baby are doing fabulously. Then just toss your hair over your shoulder, proudly swing your bump and sashay (sp?) away from them looking as proud as punch.

Sx
