Hi, today I have noticed very small amount of light brown discharge on tissue. I have mild cramps. I'm worried this is the start of a miscarriage, this is baby number 3. Just can't help but not worry I'll be calling doctors in the morning. I have heard about the implantation bleeding but I don't think implantation occurs at almost 6 weeks pregnant I'm sure the embryo would be implanted into the womb at this stage?
Any other mummy's experienced light brown mucus? Was all ok or did it end up in miscarriage? Sad

I didn't want to read and run but I had this before and I found lots of success stories, there are many reasons you can bleed and from what I read brown spotting/blood is better than red. Are the cramps any different to normal? Cramps are common in early pregnancy too.

I get this all of the time. I did in my last pregnancy too.

I have had many scans and baby is going good I’m 12 weeeks now : bled again this afternoon stopped after 3rd trip to the bathroom only when I wipe. No idea what it is, EPU don’t know what it is, midwife doesn’t know. But baby is doing good and it happened in my last pregnancy and he’s almost 4 now. I always cramped too in those very early weeks. Cramping is generally a good sign if it’s mild as things are growing and stretching.
Did the bleeding get heavy or the pains get worse? If not then all is probs ok

Many thanks for your reply. No heavy bleeding just a small amount of light brown discharge on tissue. Haven't got anymore now. You've put my mind at ease Tysm! Great news that all was okay when you had the similar symptoms xxWink

Hi, it is light brown discharge but has stopped now. The cramps are like period cramps but very very mild. Thanks for your reassurance. I was gonna call the midwife today and ask for early scan but now it's stopped will leave it she will think I'm mad Blush

If I were you, I'd still let her know and ask for a scan just for peace of mind. ❤️

ladyge · 15/07/2022 10:16

@Chloedavies how are you gettinf

ladyge · 15/07/2022 10:18

@Chloedavies how are you getting on?

im currently 6 weeks 3 days and have a light bleed I’m concerned about. All the EPU near me say I must be 7 week before they look at me which is really frustrating.

I’ve had a miscarriage before and can’t help but think the worst. This will also (I hope) be my first child so feeling very anxious atm
