Extremely painful baby movements

I'm 37 weeks and last night I had the most painful movements I've ever felt. I don't know if baby was hitting a nerve or something but every time she moved I'd double over in pain and she was so active last night. I thought I was going to go into labour because the pain kept also causing Braxton Hicks.
It lasted hours of her just kicking away in there, no change in position or having water helped either and I couldn't walk around because I was in too much pain. Most of the pain was in my tummy rather than pelvis, although there was pretty severe lightning crotch too.
I didn't have this much pain with movements with either of my other pregnancies.

This is my first pregnancy but I’ve also had spells of this.
I was told that the baby is just bigger, stronger and with less space so some movements push against me more and can be uncomfortable.
I’d suggest contacting your midwife to get checked over since this is different for you.
