Hi
It would work our that im 7 weeks preg, second pregnancy after my little boy. I have 0 symptoms this time roind, setting my mind racing that something is wrong, I am debating whether to get a private scan today or tomorrow or hold out till 12 weeks... when I had a MC a few yrs back the nhs nurse was so rude and said to me are you sure your pregnant as no baby is there....
I know anythinf can go wrong between now and 12 wks It just seems so long to wait with it hanging over my head that something isn't right... the private scans are costly. I had one on my last pg as that was after my MC so wanted to be sure but even then I was getting signs...this time, nothing! X

I'm 7 weeks and had one yesterday, I also have no symptoms this time round. Saw the baby and a heartbeat Smile and it's hugely reassuring to know that now the rate of MC has dropped to 5%. Go for it OP!

I had one with my son at 9 weeks. Naively thought all was ok as baby looked fine. Had my 12 week dcan and they found major problems with my baby. I wished I'd never had the early scan as it gave me a false sense of security. I know my story is rare, and chances are this doesnt happen to most people, but i wouldn't pay for an early scan again.

I am past the age of pregnancy but would never contemplate paying for a scan.
It is just a waste of money imo.

If something isn't right, the pregnancy is too early to save so you have nothing to gain and only money to lose.

I would. If you can afford it. I had one in both pregnancies. First one was ivf so had one with the clinic to confirm all ok and discharge.

Second time we fell naturally so wanted to see if all ok.

Yes to the pp there's not much you can do if not right but for me I would rather find out at 7 weeks than wait another 5.
