Hi all, I was just wondering those of you that their bodies usually start clearing out before birth how long did you have that for? It happened to me the last 2 times I've had children and I can't remember how many days it lasted before birth.
I'm 37 weeks today, but I expect I'll go early anyway as I've never gone past 40w and my last was a week early.
I've been getting painful and quite strong BH for the last few days now, along with some serious lighting crotch. I had a scan that showed baby's head so low they couldn't measure it.
I'm debating if I need to pack the kids overnight bags now or not.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm 38 weeks on Monday with my second. Getting a lot of period type pains and shooting pains in my back, my body cleared its self the day my waters broke with my first. I was sick " hadn't been sick since 20 weeks" went back finished my food, got a shower at 8 at night, body cleared it's self out (tmi sorry) then at 5 to 12 at night my waters broke. He didn't come untill 27 hours later though 😩 not expecting this one to be as long, I've heard there often alot faster! Every tightening or pain I'm on edge. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to made sure someone was around to watch my son, hopefully I go during the day, I'd pack your childrens bags now just to be on the safe side, and add the essentials when you go into labour

@boymummys I can't seem to eat a single thing at the moment without my body immediately saying "nope" and then I clear out all over again 😅 I swear I'm spending a good 30% of my day just on the toilet right now. My OH is constantly at work too, so I've not only got a 4yo and 2yo to whisk away to my dad's (who never answers his phone), I'd also have to call up my OH's workplace as he also never answers his phone.
I'm wondering if my body is just holding out until I relax a bit, been trying to get the house in order and been so exhausted that it's taking forever.
I went into labour at 6-7pm with both of my previous pregnancies, which isn't a fantastic time this time around as it's the kids bedtime haha and I'm usually doing it by myself.
I'm hoping I go a little early this time because the back pain is a beech right now, I'm so uncomfortable. The last 3-5 weeks are the worst, because it could be any day but could also not be for a couple more weeks. I'm hoping that because I've never gone past 40w that this baby will follow suite and not be late haha.

Tbh I would have a prepacked bag and a little paper next to it with what was missing so that it could be gathered quickly Wink

You know how things are, it could be any time, regardless of symptoms 🤷🏻‍♀️ I would prepare for something very close to what your other children did, though

Best of luck!!! ThanksThanks
