Hi all,

I've had growth scans and baby is measuring huge! Off the scale for abdominal circumfrance, 91st for head and 71st for legs. They've told me he's fine and really healthy, he's just going to be big. They're estimating his weight already at 3.12 oz and I am just wondering if anyone else had this and how big their baby actually was at birth?
I know it's not always accurate but it would be good to know roughly how big he may be!

I had a growth scan at 31 weeks and his weight was estimated at 7lb 3oz. They couldn’t give us a birth weigh estimate as their charts didn’t go up that high!

We knew he was going to be big and he was born at 38 weeks and weighed 10lb 8oz! So scan was pretty accurate for us.

10lb 8!! He must have looked SO adorable. Big babies are just the cutest. Can I ask, did they recommend section or vaginal due to babies size? (Big babies run in my family and I'm currently 27 weeks!)

Following this I have a growth scan a week Monday when I am 30+3 as Abdominal circumference was over 95th centile at 20 week scan. I’ve had GTT this week so now all it can be is a big baby.

He was an adorable chunky money! Grin

I had a c-section but I'm only 4' 10" and his head was too big to fit out the regular route. Grin

My growth scan at 32 weeks was 4.1lb, had another at 36 weeks he was measuring at 6.2 lb. Got another one on Monday at 38 weeks so will update then, The midwife's growth chart has gone over the line. But scan chart went from 30th centile to 50th in four weeks hence why I now need another scan when it was originally booked 😩

Saying this they estimated my first born at 9lb and he was born on his due date at 7.7lb so they can often be out.

Oh wow 10 lbs 8! Big babies are growing absolute cutest I'm just curious as I want to make sure we have enough baby grows in the right size haha I'm guessing he won't fit in to newborn things! I've known people where the estimations have been way out either way
@boymummys yes let us know!
