Ultra sound scan! (No fetal pole)

So ive had some brown discharge and small amount of bleeding over the last two days went for a ultrasound scan which was done vaginally and they said that they can see the yolk sac but no visiable fetal pole, she said that there was potentially something embeded on my left side but couldnt confirm if it was it or not as was to small and unclear, i have to go back in a weeks time to confirm if they can see anything as its possible im earlier than what i thought. Going by my last period i should be 8 weeks 5 days, my first positive test was 4 weeks 4 days ago so at a push the earliest i can be is say 5/6 which makes me think the pregancy isnt progressed, has anyone else had simular experience and had a different outcome? My heads all over the place and struggling to underatand how i can be so early that theres no fetal pole 😩 #possiblemiscarriage #ultrasound

I’m going through a very similar thing at the moment. Spotting at seven weeks and then a transvaginal ultrasound showed that the sac and yolk sac were measuring around 5 weeks with something that could maybe be an embryo 🤷🏻‍♀️

They put me on progesterone which stopped the spotting and I have another scan on Tuesday (nine weeks) to see if it’s a missed miscarriage or not 😕

Sorry you’re in this limbo too. It’s the longest wait ☹️

@AshNov2022 Thanks! I really hope it stops for you!

There was a girl on another thread who had lots of bleeding and then went for a scan and the baby was there and all ok so don’t give up hope just yet :)

Hi! I have 3 pregnancies to talk about.

My first, lots of bleeding (bright red mainly) but my son is currently in bed upstairs.
My second, unfortunately not good news. I was measuring weeks behind and it was just an empty sac. I miscarried a week later.
My third (and current!), One tiny sac, empty. Measuring a few weeks behind but caught up. Currently carrying non identical twins with two sacs!

It's impossible to say anything until you've had a follow up scan but I hope everything goes well for you OP. It's frustrating when there is no clear answer x

Hi! I'm in a similar ish position..,, we went for early scan with ivf clinic last week at 6+1, no sign of fetal pole and nurse categorically said that it's all over and she was sorry to give us such bad news... we still have to go for another scan on Wednesday just to confirm.
I stupidly googled/forum searched and I've seen lots of positive stories of girls with tilted uterus that can play havoc when getting. Scans and when they go back for second one there is heart beat.
It's an absolute head melt of a wait, I'm finding I'm all over the place, going from it's all over sadness to being so hopeful that maybe il be lucky....
I just wanted to comment and let you know you're not alone, it's really really shit....

Aww im really sorry your in this position too😢 i too have read stories of success but im trying not to pin any hopes on that as i have brown discharge and soem bleeding since Wednesday and all my symptoms have gone so preparing myself for the worst at my scan in Friday!

I hope you have a positive outcome when you go back 🤞🏻❤️

@AshNov2022 it's very hard to plan for the worst but hope for the best I think.....

If your positive test was 4w4d ago the earliest you could possibly be form that would be around 7 weeks. So if they can’t see a baby yet that’s very very unusual for that stage of pregnancy and it doesn’t sound too good unfortunately
