More than you could eat without being sick. Quick google suggests a kilo of milk chocolate would be within the daily limit of caffeine.

Holland56 · 24/03/2022 15:46

AMAZING! I’m going to buy some Easter eggs!

Oops, did my conversions wrong. 10kg.

fairgame84 · 24/03/2022 15:49

50g bar of chocolate has 10mg caffeine and your limit is 200mg according to nhs (or 300mg according to WHO).
Crack on.

I ate a ton of chocolate throughout my pregnancy. It's fine.

ChloeHel · 24/03/2022 17:14

You have made me laugh haha. So excited! I’ve only just started being able to eat small amounts because I’ve got terrible hyperemesis, the first thing that I really wanted today was an Easter eggs and mini eggs, DH went straight out and got me some hehe!

MrsGHarrison87 · 24/03/2022 17:20

I drank the odd coffee and as much Diet Coke, cups of tea and chocolate as I wanted throughout all my pregnancies with no problems. An Easter egg is not going to do anything bad.

Did somebody say Easter eggs?

* waddles to supermarket *

SpringSummerAutumnSpring · 24/03/2022 18:25

I wouldn’t eat too much because I may show up in your urine when you go for your checks - the sugar, not the chocolate of course Grin - if there’s too much in your urine they make you test for pregnancy diabetes. The test involves not eating for a significant amount of time beforehand, I can’t remember how long it was but I was starving and ill tempered! Not fun to do. This was after scoffing too much chocolate at easter…
