Period type bleeding followed by a positive test

Good afternoon ladies...im the new kid on the block. Been TTC since a late mmc in Nov. Been obsessing over OPK's ever since.

So this month, i had my period 2 days late. Tested on the day bleeding started and it was deffo negative. At this stage i would have been 13-14dpo.

Day 1, very light, day 2 heavy, day 3 starts to tail off. Day 4 only a little when i wiped, nothing on pad.

So, new cycle...i started to do my LH tests on CD6. It peaked right away and then Dr Google said that could be a sign of pregnancy. Took a test in afternoon and positive line. Took a frer test this morning and a blazing positive line.

Wth right?! So has anyone else had a successful pregnancy following a period like bleed?

I have a scan next friday to check things over. Feeling super anxious!

Yes! I took a pregnancy test, then noticed I was bleeding at 10dpo, so stuck it in my pocket, thinking period was here, very disheartened. Pulled it back out later and there was a positive line - couldn't believe it! Cue spent next 3 days thinking I might be miscarrying (had multiple positive tests after and this was like a period, not light implantation bleeding), blood stopped, perfectly normal pregnancy thereafter! She's 16 months old now. Nothing like that happened with my first pregnancy, and I had no further bleeds after that first one.

How heavy was it. I was testing negative pre bleeding and the bleeding was as heavy on day 2 as a normal period

Mine was as heavy as a normal period, I was chatting to my friend who had miscarried because I was sure that I couldn't bleed like that and be pregnant afterwards. I took sooooo many pregnancy tests, they stayed positive, and thought maybe I'd have a similar breakthrough type bleed every month, but that didn't happen. I honestly don't know why it happened. If your bleeding has stopped and you now have a strong line then hopefully all is good! I bought loads of those cheapy pregnancy tests and honestly didn't stop testing until about a month after waiting for the line to fade

That is really reassuring....although after a later miscarriage in Nov I'm a cynic, whereby positive doesn't equal baby
