Boobs!!!

I had big enough breasts before getting pregnant. By about 8 weeks pregnant I'd gone up 1 1/2 cup sizes from a 34FF. I've since gone up another 1 1/2 sizes or maybe more and have had to start going up back sizes to be able to find bras that fit. I'm now on 36GG and it seems I'm probably heading up to 36H at only 20-something weeks. I've been eating carefully so it's not that I've gained a load of weight.

I feel pretty self conscious now. I told my friend and she replied my boobs were each almost as big as my head, which didn't help! I also have a sore back from pregnancy anyway. My breasts are really sore, especially in the night. It's like someone comes and inflates them when I'm sleeping!

Anyone else fancy a boob-related moan? Tell me I'm not alone!

When I as pregnant OP I went up to a J cup!!! Fucking J. I’m HH now so not much better.... I could find one bra in good old M and S. They couldn’t find a bra for me in Mothercare so put me in one of those Monoboob things meant for sleeping in. The M&S lady was horrified. I feel your pain.

missrainbowbaby · 24/03/2022 09:44

I feel this pain and I HATE my boobs in general. But pregnancy boobs, my god. I'm nearly 35 weeks and wearing a bra is just a chore, so when I'm in the house I of course don't wear one, but say I lay on my side I need to hold my boobs in a certain position, otherwise they feel like they are ripping my skin off. So I have to basically hold them to fall asleep comfortable😂 I got measured in marks and Spencer's at 30 weeks and I was 34G pre pregnancy so was shocked when she told me it was only my back that got bigger, so 36G now. But my god, I hate them🤦🏼‍♀️

This made me laugh … I’m sorry! 🤣
M&S fitters can’t cope with anything not on their ‘chart’! I have wide back, smaller boobs and there is nothing for me there either!

GodspeedJune · 24/03/2022 09:52

Glad I’m not the only one. I’m 9 weeks tomorrow and already gone from a 28G to an overflowing GG. At least if my back size increases I’ll have more choice on the high street as bravissimo is my only option usually (£££). Is it too soon to go without underwire?

My boobs were already cumbersome so could do without them getting any bigger! Also having to wear a stretchy crop top to bed to keep them strapped to my chest overnight as they’re so sore and tender when squashed!

CycleGirl20 · 24/03/2022 09:55

@Spudina I'm down to one M&S GG bra. The only one that fits me now!! I have to wash and dry it overnight 😂. I keep ordering more online and when they come the fit is awful. I think they build them for smaller sizes and then just size them up. I've probably ordered and returned £300 worth of bras.

@missrainbowbaby you are one cup size bigger too there I think. I think if you go up a back size you minus one cup size. Sleeping is really hard. I had to hold my boobs to be able to stand up to walk to the loo last night.

It's definitely one of the biggest downsides of pregnancy. I didn't expect my already big boobs to need to expand!!

I feel your pain OP. I got asked this weekend if I had a boob job which god knows why when my boobs where already humongous, why would I have wanted to get them any bigger haha

I'm only 16 weeks, I will topple over if they get any bigger

CycleGirl20 · 24/03/2022 10:06

I can definitely feel the forwards gravitational pull increasing @Cas112! My stomach is starting to catch up too. Maybe my stomach will get big enough so that my boobs can rest on it 🥲

I'm 16 weeks and still in my normal size (34GG)

Really hoping they don't get much bigger!! I found my last pregnancy they didn't really get much bigger but I had to start wearing non underwired sleep bras as they just got so uncomfortable and sensitive!

TruffleShuffles · 24/03/2022 11:33

I’ve gone from a 32E to a 32G at 21 weeks, I hate my big boobs. I was already pissed off as before my first pregnancy I was a 32D and even after two years and back at pre pregnancy weight I never returned to my old size, I’m desperately hoping I don’t stay another couple of cup sizes bigger this time.

CycleGirl20 · 24/03/2022 13:14

@TruffleShuffles that's the fear isn't it! I keep dreaming about breast reductions

I remember that pain, sitting across from my friend when I was about 30 weeks and she suddenly says 'your boobs are like scud missiles', not sure how she came up with the comparison but it made me laugh.

PennyPenguins · 24/03/2022 13:40

First pregnancy I went from a 34F to a 34H.
Second pregnancy I went to a 32J Confused

M&S fittings are terrible. I would look up boob or bust.
Spottybutterfly · 24/03/2022 16:35

I haven't worn a bra since about week 8 I'm at week 20 now. The under wire was so sore I just keep buying braletts. But by boobs are massive now. I was a 36C pre pregnancy after loosing 2.5st. The bras from before my weight loss didn't even fit me at week 8. I plan on getting measured on Friday but my boobs seem to have doubled in size.

madeleine85 · 24/03/2022 19:17

With my first I swear my boobs didn't change until she arrived (early at 35 weeks). They prob grew a cup size/two once they were being used, just felt bloated from the milk. I was an E cup prior to pregnancy. This time around by 6-8 weeks they were the size from when I was feeding last time, and keep growing. Please tell me this stops? I'll look ridiculous soon. I've been sleeping in a bra since the start!
