Severe SI joint pain

Evening all

I’ve got hyper mobility triggered after my first pregnancy 2 years ago. I mainly get pain in my si joints at the lower back. However on Sunday I must have done something (I think I picked the Hoover up) and since then I’ve been in the most unimaginable pain like I’ve injured my lower back si joints! It’s absolutely killing. I’m struggling to bend or sit upright. Paracetamol doesn’t help. The physio gave me a tubigrip band to wear over over my bump and hips a few weeks ago and this hasn’t helped.

Has anyone else suffered with this? Is there anything I can do to make the pain go away?

Yeah I had that, I regularly see a deep tissue masseuse to manage my hypermobility and went to her for help with it in pregnancy too. Ice it to help with the swelling in the meantime.

Also hypermobile and am pregnant w my first. SI joint has always been an issue. I see a cranio osteopath and a physio who specialises in hypermobility to try and keep it manageable. I think having it released and aligned properly with your pelvis as all the changes are happening is helpful. Good luck

Acupuncture really helped me. Not a cheap solution but it felt like money well spent because it eased up the pain for a few weeks normally. I was given some exercises from the physio too. Combination seemed to keep it mostly at bay.
