Hi all

I work in a school currently and they are already planning for September 2022 - timetable and staffing. Quite a lot of staff are leaving which means my department is very thin on the group and lacking experience. Senior leaders are quite worried.

I have JUST found out I am pregnant and am wondering when to tell them? I feel like I should tell them now because they're already starting the planning and restructure. However, it is early and it would also be a bit of a led balloon!

Thanks for any advice

Any teachers out there for any advice?

I'm not a teacher OP but I am married to one.
I probably would tell them before the start of Easter hols if it were me but depends on your working relationships.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I’m a teacher and I wouldn’t say anything..I know it seems a bit harsh but I don’t really feel like the due care etc is reciprocated. Schools tend to just look out for themselves- yours might be different though!

@SouthwestSis thank you!
@Michellexxx yes I completely understand and agree, however there are individuals that are really supportive and I feel like I don't want to annoy them/waste their time when planning
