So my bloods came back low for platelet count midwife said which would put me at higher risk during labour as clotting would be an issue. Not sure if I would be consider high risk now? Was hoping for a water birth. Also been told both I can do to raise it.

Any one ever had this issue?

I've had ITP in all of my pregnancies, it really depends on how low they go as to how much it could affect your delivery plans

What's ITP? Midwife called and said it's 103 and needed to be above 100, however 150 is preferable.

Have no idea what these mean and frustrating I can't do anything to help bring it up like with iron deficiency.

I had low platelets plus baby was breech so I had to have CS due to risk of bleeding if they tried to turn him.
I was told the count would have to be over 80 to avoid general anaesthetic. It was 74 the day before but luckily it was 84 when I went in, so I could stay awake for it.
Platelet count has remained low ever since!

Did you have any issues with clotting after c section? I don't know if I should be worried incase of episiotomy or tears. Did they have to give you anything to help you clot with scarring?

No issues at all, they said I'd bled very little. No issues with scarring either. I hadn't known there was even a problem until they called me in 3 weeks before due date so it was all a bit of a whirlwind Grin.

Oh and I don't remember being given any specific medication for clotting. Maybe they assess that based on how the birth goes but that's pure guesswork on my part!
