Swollen and tingling lips??!!

Hi all,
since thursday i've had quite swollen and tingly lips, and a numb/plastic taste in my mouth. anybody have an ideas why this may be?
im 37 weeks pregnant.

Sounds like an allergic reaction to something, and being specifically your mouth probably food rather than cosmetics/detergents. Try to remember what you have eaten over the past few days... chilli/spices is a common one. Though I appreciate it was a while ago!
It shouldn't be anything pregnancy related. If it doesn't settle def see your GP.

Does sound like an allergic reaction - in pregnancy I become allergic to prawns - I'm not normally. It's very odd. You haven't been putting teething gel onto older childrens gums though have you? I had a numb lip and was panicking thinking I'd had a ministroke because I was drooling and it was then that I twigged that DD had wiped some bonjela onto me for fun
