Early scans keep putting my dates forwards

Iv had 3 early scans and each time it’s been a few days ahead now I’m at a point of being 12 days ahead and on my scan today I’m 11 weeks they are saying I’m almost 13 weeks by baby measurement. It seams a lot! I don’t want them rushing at the end of the pregnancy thinking I’m 2 weeks ahead of what I am trying to get baby out sooner. I want to stick at my own dates. I know some few days are normal but is almost 2 weeks normal?

When's your 12 week nhs scan? If it's over a week away I would be ringing and asking for it to be sooner otherwise you will miss the threshold for the genetic testing, they will base your due date from that scan, so what ever baby measures thats what due date you'll be given. If baby is measuring that much ahead its very unlikely they will want to stick with your dates

Are these NHS scans?

Nikki037297 · 21/03/2022 18:27

Two were private one was nhs. They did tell
Me today to ring up and chase up
My 12 week scan as it needs done before 14 weeks so I rang them and told them so they said they will get me in before the cut off

I had private early scans and they kept moving my date forward. My midwife said as great as those scans are, the estimated due date is based on your 12 week scan. If you don’t hear about your scan by the end of the week I’d chase it up but try not to worry about dates and sizes! Babies growth can look like it speeds up at first and I can be hard tk get a proper measurement until later on!

So if my baby is measuring 13 weeks but I’m only 11, will my sickness stop now or when it’s due to at 12/13 weeks? It’s been so bad or does that not make any difference to the size of the baby only the dates?

Sadly the sickness won’t make any difference. Some people can experience sickness throughout or it can start and stop.

Just checking that the date you are working from is the first day of your last period and not when you think you conceived?

It will make no difference to your sickness, unfortunately it stops when it stops ☹️, I'm nearly 18 weeks and just feeling better. They will take your official date from your NHS 12 weeks scan and keep the date the same from then on, they're so small before this stage that the measurements are literally mm so easy to be out. Hope you get youre scan soon x

Hey @Nikki037297, it would be really helpful to have more information on what you are basing your dates on. Do you know when you ovulated? When did you get a positive pregnancy test etc

Kaw10 · 22/03/2022 15:32

@Nikki037297 we need the date of the first day of your last period, then we can better advise you!
