Just been for a wee and the pain in my right ovary area was so bad while I was urinating and afterwards for a couple of minutes !
Honestly it absolutely killed ! It was like I was being grabbed from this inside or something. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow. Does anyone know what on earth it could've been ? I'm scared to go for another wee now

Maybe a uti?

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 20/03/2022 19:38

Would that cause pain there though? It was pretty much in line with my right hip going down diagonally if you know what I mean, so I'm guessing around the side of my uterus

Yes, it could be. If it happens again I'd hand a sample in tomorrow just in case as UTIs need treating right away in pregnancy so they don't develop

It obviously probably isn't this but when I was pregnant I had a almighty pain shoot from my ovary ( wasn't weeing though at the time) and it was my egg splitting into two = twins.
Like I say the chance of this is very small but I don't want to read and run as I had something similar. Try not to worry it could be any thing we all get these aches and pain when pregnant that we aren't used to!

But im 11 weeks now lol and there is only the one in there

I had awful pain after weeing during pregnancy to the point I'd have to gather myself for a moment or two before getting up off the loo. Got tested for a UTI but it was all clear, I just made sure I stayed well hydrated and never let my bladder get overly full and that seemed to help.

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 20/03/2022 21:22

It was my ovary area, The pain was as my bladder was emptying. I am weeing a lot but you do anyways don't you !
Been for a couple of wees since and it didn't hurt but does feel like a pressure there, almost like somethings in the way, maybe it is my uterus !

Hi OP. Your egg won't be dividing into twins at 11 weeks.

It is possible for your growing uterus to start to obstruct your bladder making it difficult to wee. If you find you can't wee, this is a medical emergency so get advice fast (within 30 minutes).

But onto your current problem... it could be round ligament pain (which is agonising but harmless)Or possibly a UTI starting. If the problem persists, gets worse or you start to feel unwell get help.

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 20/03/2022 22:02

@LightSpeeds thank you! I did think maybe it could be round ligament pain as it did feel like it but it wasn't just for a few seconds, more like a few minutes during and after the wee. I've got a dull ache now across my lower stomach. And the last couple of days when I've sat down it's felt a little sore, like pressure...The only way I can describe it is when I've had ivf and my ovaries were stimulated and huge.
It just feels really compacted in there !! Just been for a wee again and it was hard to get out it just feels really tight and squashed

If you haven't and this is ongoing, please get checked for a uti, it's very simple. UTIs left untreated can lead to problems for baby.

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 22/03/2022 20:07

Urine test was clear. I think it could've been round ligament pain as I'm having more and more of it the last couple of days
