Hiya, sorry for the tmi, I’m nearly 6 weeks pregnant! Last year I had a miscarriage and it’s made me really paranoid and noticing every slight snag or pain. When I push to go to toilet, there’s a slight dull pressure feeling, is this normal? I’ve had the odd cramps here and there but certain it’s just stretching etc as no blood or it’s not intense feeling. I’m hoping to get a private early scan next week just for peace of mind. I’ve tried so hard not to google but because of the miscarriage I’m so worried. Any reassurance would be greatly appreciated, thanks ladies xx

Although it doesn’t feel as achy no more? Fingers crossed it’s nothing to worry about!

I'm 11 weeks & I still have aches & strain quite a bit when trying to have a bowel movement. Honestly I think it's because of dehydration as I'm probably not drinking enough (even though I think I am). Constipation is common throughout pregnancy. Although I take reassurance that it doesn't hurt/ affect the baby in anyway. Definitely go for a reassurance scan, I had one at 8 weeks and so glad I did Smile it sounds like you have nothing to worry about. I also read that difficulties pooping with straining / aches do not cause miscarriages x

Yes, had this with both pregnancies until around 14 weeks or so. I think it's round ligament pain/general slackness from all the relaxin in your system. I found it eased off once baby had come up out of the pelvis a bit.
Try not to be pushing if you can avoid it though. Constipation is obviously a pregnancy symptom but look at your diet and try to wait a bit longer and let the poop come naturally if you can!
