I’m 11 weeks and partner is at work today and it’s such a lovely day! I thought perhaps I could cut the grass in our back garden and tidy up the garden 🪴 the lawn moor isn’t a big bulky one it’s fairly light but I Imagine will get heavier once it starts collecting grass. Anyone cut the grass when pregnant ?

Of course, why wouldn't you be able to?

Carbiesdreamhouse · 19/03/2022 09:24

I was pushing our mower up and down at 42 weeks quite happily. In fact it was nice to keep moving and not be crushed by my own bump on the sofa by that point!

Yes absolutely!

Ah, that changes things a bit. I’d probably leave it until you’ve had the all clear. All the best for your scan Smile

You should have put your update in your original post as it changes the answers…!

SunnySideUp2020 · 19/03/2022 11:10

Wait for the ok from the midwife... don't risk it!

Garman · 19/03/2022 11:23

Well after the drip feed obviously wait Hmm

AHungryCaterpillar · 19/03/2022 11:24

Would have been best to mention that in your op

Wrinklepicker · 19/03/2022 11:24

Oh, well after your update I’d leave it for now. Otherwise I’d go for it.

Caspianberg · 19/03/2022 11:26

Yes it’s fine. Even full it’s hardly strenuous unless it’s a huge slope.
Ours is a huge terraced slope. Even at 39 weeks I mowed the lawn. Just got dh to lift it between each level.

So yes. Don’t go carrying it up and down everywhere, but if it’s just a case of out shed onto a normal lawn, it’s fine.

Nikki037297 · 19/03/2022 11:32

It’s not a slope it’s completely flat and grass cutter is light weight so I wouldn’t have thought it was going to be too strenuous as I pushed a huge trolley load of food back to the car the other day and that felt strenuous!

I wouldn't call that strenuous, unless you were very unfit to start with, strenuous to me would be running or moving heavy furniture, pushing a lightweight lawnmower is like pushing a pram.
