Hi, Just wondering if anyone has any experience of losing one identical twin (different sac, unsure about placenta) and the other one being fine? We had IVF with one embryo transferred which split. Found out twins at 7 weeks. Just had private scan which showed one twin stopped developing at 8 weeks and the other is measuring correctly. I'm just so nervous about the other twin as if they were identical, is the other twin likely to not make it either? I'm not sure how it works....just looking for some reassurance. We have another scan on Monday where I'll try and ask these questions to, but it seems like so long away at the moment...

My youngest daughter was one of an identical twin pregnancy. I lost the other foetus at 7 weeks. The rest of the pregnancy was uneventful and healthy.
I'm sorry you are going through this. I know how stressful it is.
I wish you all the best on Monday and for the rest of your pregnancy.
