18 weeks - is it too early to ring about baby movements?

Just that really. Been feeling movement for the last week or so, but nothing much for the last 24 hours. Don’t want to be a pain or waste anyone’s time, do I ring at only 18 weeks?

Is it your first pregnancy OP?

Hello, from my experience they won't see you until after you are 24 weeks, but I would still call just incase it's different where you are and you're better safe than sorry!!

Have you tried the usual tricks, fizzy drink, freezing cold water, a bath ect xx

@Amei I thought so. Yeah I’ll keep doing them, I’m sure things are fine but to be honest I’ve had this feeling of dread throughout this pregnancy so far and I feel like I’m just waiting for something to go wrong.

I would call if I was you. I was feeling regular movements at 18 weeks so it's not uncommon

Thanks @Jfb23, needed the reassurance that I wasn’t being over dramatic. Out for a walk at the moment but think I’ll call when we get back in.

I'd call. Then again I'm seventeen weeks and yet to feel anything. I'd love to feel this baby move
.

I called, they asked me to go in. They were really kind on the phone and said if I was worried enough to ring then they’d check me out.

Between 17 until this week where I’m 20 weeks, my movement was very on and off. Some days he was active but others I wouldn’t feel him.

Had my 20 week scan on Monday and all was fine, but the sonographer said they can hide and still small that movement isn’t always noticeable some days.
