I'm 12 weeks today and I'm so worried about my scan on Friday. I don't feel pregnant at all, I seen baby's heartbeat at 10 weeks and 2 days and everything was absolutely fine but I can't stop with the thought something is wrong as I really don't feel pregnant in any way. Is this normal?

Hey OP,

I am similar and have been throughout. 14 weeks now.

Never had noticeably sore boobs or excessive nausea/sickness. I sometimes have felt a bit sick, but never been sick and it's only minor really, like how you feel when you've eaten too much chocolate or something like that.

I always used to wonder how people sometimes didn't realise they were pregnant for months but now I completely get it. Quite honestly, if I hadn't been TTC and didn't have regular periods, nothing I have experienced would make me think I was pregnant.

Some women just don't really have any symptoms :) I don't think it means you need to worry at all.

firsttimemum1xxx · 16/03/2022 10:09

Aw thank you for this @GlitteryGreen, always reassuring when someone is in a similar position. I'm definitely a massive worrier, I was before I was pregnant and now it's x1000 being pregnant. I hope everything continues to go well for you xx

Hi! I was speaking to you a few weeks ago username was jenna(can't remember the rest🙈). Thing is my name isn't even Jenna and I didn't even realise it put this as my username haha! I'm not very good with this app but I managed to change it.

We are around the same weeks pregnant and both have scans on the same day if you can remember.

I'm absolutely the same, Still no symptoms apart from being more tired than usual. I'm petrified for Friday 😣

firsttimemum1xxx · 16/03/2022 11:52

@Gigi30 Ahhh yes I rememeber !! I know I'm hopeless with this app aswell. I always think about you wondering how your getting on cause we're so close together with dates ! Im 12 weeks today and im honestly terrified for Friday I just have the worst thoughts going on in my head about it all!! Xx

Gigi30 · 16/03/2022 11:57

Oh good I'm glad you remember! Yes we are very close together. I'm 12w1d today :) everyone keeps telling me everything will be fine but it still doesn't stop this constant anxiety over it does it! I can't let myself feel happy yet. What time is your scan on friday?

firsttimemum1xxx · 16/03/2022 12:17

@Gigi30 I'm the exaxt same. Everyone is saying I'm crazy for worrying but it's taking over my whole body at this point lol, I want to be excited but I'm so scared to get excited just incase. Even though I really have no reason to be worrying, seen baby at 10 weeks and 2 days and everything was great, I've had no bleeding no cramps no nothing but somethings just making me worry so much! My scan is 10:40, what times yours at? X

Gigi30 · 16/03/2022 15:59

I'm the same - no cramps, no bleeding or nothing but then lack of symptoms too. I also saw baby at 8 weeks with a heartbeat, I was going to get another at 10 werks but I stopped myself and made myself wait for the 12 weeks one. Fingers crossed for us both for Friday. Mines at 12pm. X

firsttimemum1xxx · 16/03/2022 16:18

@Gigi30 yep just the exact same as me! Yeah fingers crossed, let me know how you get on on Friday xx

Gigi30 · 16/03/2022 19:08

firsttimemum1xxx · 18/03/2022 12:20

@Gigi30 hiya, just had my scan and everything was great, baby would not stay still she said that's a very active baby you have lol. She struggled to get measurements because of them moving so much but I'm due the 29th of September ♥️ hope your scan has went well xxx

OP posts:
Gigi30 · 18/03/2022 12:39

Lovely news! My scan also went very well and baby very active too. We worried for nothing! We even got a little wave.

They've put me forward I should've been 12 weeks 3 days today but I've been put forward to 13 weeks 1 day and new due date of 22/09.

So happy for us both x

firsttimemum1xxx · 18/03/2022 12:42

@Gigi30 awww my god that's amazing !!! So happy for you to be put forward like that, I was hoping that would happen to me haha but I've been put back a day instead 🤣 I know completely worried for nothing but so glad everything is okay xx

Congratulations! My DSs are 9 and 6 and until I started to show I had no symptoms at all. I actually missed that I was pregnant with DS1 until I was about 12 weeks…please don’t fret and I hope you continue to have a very smooth pregnancy.

firsttimemum1xxx · 18/03/2022 13:00

@DelurkingAJ thank you so much, it's been such a relief getting the 12 week scan there and everything looking good. Hoping I can start to calm down now and just try enjoy my pregnancy xx

Sorry had a busy day at work today so not had chance to get back to you.

Let's hope we both stop worrying now and just relax ❤ will you be finding out the gender early?

firsttimemum1xxx · 18/03/2022 22:37

@Gigi30 that's no problem at all! I know I hope we can finally start to enjoy our pregnancy !! No I think we're actually going to keep it a surprise, I'm 99% sure it's a boy though, my boyfriends full family are all boys so the odds will be a boy but would quite like a surprise ! Are you going to find out ? Xx

OP posts:
Gigi30 · 18/03/2022 23:13

Oh you never know! My husbands family are all boys and there hasn't been a girl born in 30 odd years, until my daughter came along 7 years ago! Everyone convinced me she was boy lol.

Yeah I've actually just booked one for 9th April, I'm too eager to find out. I think it's another girl though as the scan is exactly like my daughters was.

Gigi30 · 13/04/2022 09:58

Hey hun I just wondered how you're getting on? Are you feeling less anxious now? I'm starting to feel loads better and that I can now enjoy my pregnancy. We found out at the weekend that we are having a baby boy!

Hope you're well xx

babybump1x · 13/04/2022 11:16

@Gigi30 hiiii, I've changed my name on this lol but it's me. Awwwww amazing news so happy for yous !! I was starting to feel better and more relaxed but I have a scan booked next week when I'm 17 weeks to hear heartbeat etc and every time on the run up to a scan I get very anxious but on a whole I am feeling better ! We are going to keep it a surprise what we are having but I am on edge pure wanting to know just now lol xxx

Aw lovely, that will be a lovely surprise. Have you had a midwife app yet? I had one on this week and she listened in to the heartbeat. Yes I'm the same on the lead up to scans too. Glad you're feeling a bit better though :) x

babybump1x · 14/04/2022 10:16

@Gigi30 I had my 16 week appointment the other day, it was a phone call though, I live in Scotland and all 16 week appointments now are phone call so it's really rubbish. Im hoping to hear heartbeat next week at my 17 week appointment though ! So exciting ! I have definitely chilled out more than I was tbf though so that's a good sign ! Xx
