Trimester 1 Cramping

Hi all,

I’m around 7 weeks today, have had some spotting recently which (fingers crossed) now seems to have stopped, but my main symptoms have been mild cramping and nausea over the last few weeks.

I’m just wondering how common cramping is and if many others have it as a symptom? I’m wary it can be okay but also may be a bad thing alongside spotting so my worries are creeping up again! Should I be worried if the cramping stops?

I am struggling to concentrate at work, hoping the 8 week midwife appointment will ease some concerns as I’ve not been able to get hold of them today for the peace of mind!

Anyone in the same boat - I hope you’re all okay :)

Cramping is extremely common, everything is stretching for your baby!

I still cramp now occasionally depending on babies position (I'm 24 weeks) as she's so low down and likes to roll!

Don't worry if it stops either, it'll come and go. Of course if you're ever really worried, contact your midwife.

Congratulations :)

@Trinxsy Thank you so much for your reply! Huge congratulations to you and hope everything is going well :)

It’s typical that a lot of the normal things can be a sign of something bad too! I never realised how anxious pregnancy would be!
