Someone tell me I’m not going mad and this is a BFP?
What next? NHS site says see doctor or midwife asap buy my surgery phone line says it’s only accepting emergency calls so not quite sure what to do now - it’s probably not as urgent to them as it is to me.

Does your local hospital have a maternity unit? I always self referred to mine.

Defo Positive! Hope everything works out for you!

You don't need to notify anyone until around 8 weeks as they won't see you until then and if you contact them beforehand they'll just lose your details or not bother contacting you IME X2

Yes agree. It’s a bit of an anticlimax to be fair. No one is interested until after 8 weeks, even then no one is particularly bothered.
Your midwife booking appointment I think varies as to where you are, mine was after 10 weeks to refer for 12 week NHS scan. They take a medical history and bloods, that’s it.
I didn’t then see anyone until my 20 week scan.

Just read up, nhs advice on diet and keeping well,
All the best, congrats.

Congratulations op.

Do you know how far along you are?

Usually, you book in for your booking appointment with the midwife. I did mine through the gp. They were also not taking calls unless an emergency but they had an online booking form instead, does your gp have this?
You can do this anytime really, but the appointment will be anytime between 8 weeks - 10 weeks , usually.

Thank you all. I'm like a bag of nerves this morning so in a bit of a tizzy.

I am about 4 weeks along, so still a bit of a way off the 8 weeks you all mention. I have now completed a form on the NHS app that gets sent to my surgery so I'll just wait and see what they say.

My husband has a congenital heart condition which he's been told means any pregnancies must be more closely monitored but not sure if that will make any difference at this stage (that question does get asked on the form you complete) or if they will just treat me as normal at this stage. My god, this is going to be a looonnng 4 weeks!
