3cm at sweep - still no labour or baby, anyone else?

Hello,

Just looking for peoples experience with this really - I had a sweep 4 days ago and was told I was 3cm, with a soft cervix etc had a few contractions triggered by sex that stopped. Last night got really painful lightening crotch - but still no labour or baby. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what the outcome was?

You could ask for another sweep to get things moving if you are over 40w ?

After my second sweep I had the same, we also had sex and had some cramp for 2 hrs, bounced on the ball a lot, went for walks etc...
Nothing. The day after i had some mild tightenings for a couple of hours then Nothing. And in the night my waters broke and i gave birth 6hrs later...

Hi @SunnySideUp2020 that’s encouraging that the second one worked were you more dilated at that one then your first? I’m currently 40+4 with my first & had the first sweep at 40 weeks! Have another one booked in for 41.

Yup. Was 1cm more at the 2nd sweep and was 40+5. Looked at my notes and actually had my second sweep on thursday and went into labor sunday night. So was maybe 2 days until the mild tightenings during the day...

You are probably a couple days away from labor! Gets lots of rest
