Accidentally slept on back

And now I'm panicking! I've been sleeping terribly these last few weeks and struggling to get comfy in any position. Last night I was tossing and turning for ages but eventually woke up flat on my back. I'm 34 weeks now and have heard this can be dangerous after 20 weeks due to the pressure cutting off baby's blood flow. At the same time I woke up with really bad pins and needles in my hand.

Should I be worried? I estimate I was on my back no longer than 2-3 hours.

You’ll be absolutely fine, don’t worry.

I always ended up on my back... nothing you can do.
Asl your partner to gently roll you or get some maternity pillow to prevent it.
But I dont think it's too dangerous unless you feel faint or dizzy.

Tommy's say not to worry if you wake up on your back, just to turn over onto your side again. You might have been on your back much less time than you think!

You'll wake yourself up if you're cutting off blood
Try not to worry too much

Thanks all I've felt movement this morning so not too worried. My husband usually gives me a shove if he finds me asleep on my back but he must have been out of it too 🙈

I never even realised this was an issue until this pregnancy but I'm very heavy now so it does make sense.

I tend to wake up on my back as well and it makes me worried. What’s the longest you can be on your back after 28 weeks?

I never feel breathless or anything else when I wake up on my back.

This was unheard of when I had my DC I'm sure I would have slept on my back sometimes. Try not to overthink it
