‘Lightening crotch’ is sending me to the roof what the fuck is this?

Sorry for the langue by my good god alive can someone shed some light on how to calm this down?

I’m 38+3, had a sweep on Saturday just gone, had crampy feeling that Eve and then ever since Sunday morning the lightening crotch (shooting pain into my cervix) is becoming unbearable and every few minutes.

I’m at the point where I’ve scared my toddler because it’s so sudden and so sharp I’ve “AHH”’d and jumped up. Walking doesn’t help, the ball is making it worse, sitting down doesn’t help.. when will it end?! I’m constantly on edge waiting for the next shock now.

I’ve had lightening crotch periodically since second trimester, and I remember it towards the end of DD pregnancy but that was a planned section at 37 weeks so I’ve never got this far.. is this normal? The braxton hicks are starting to get more frequent and I get period pains in the evening but they don’t tend to stick around, aren’t present in the day.. only seem to come at night. So I don’t think I’m there yet so I’m not sure what this baby is doing but he feels like he’s going to fall out of my vagina without me going into labour at all.

Please tell me someone else has experienced this and has some advice?!

My lightening crotch turned out to be my breech baby kicking my cervix 😬 I've heard that later on it could mean that you’re dialating! Or baby pressing on your nerves of course but hopefully it’s dilation 🤞🏻

It will end when you are holding your New born in your arms. Late pregnancy is no fun even less so with a toddler.
